An hourly chauffeur in Vaughan: one car, one chauffeur, your whole day
Hourly chauffeur service is a vehicle and chauffeur reserved for a block of time rather than a single trip — from a minimum of a few hours to a full day or a week. You set the stops, change them as the day changes, and the car waits between them. In Vaughan it is booked for meeting days across the GTA, showroom and site visits, medical days, wine tours, concert nights and film and photo shoots. The rate is per hour by vehicle class, shown before you commit.
A point-to-point booking is the right tool when the day is certain: house to airport, office to dinner. The hourly booking is for the day that is not. A director with three site visits between Concord and Oakville and no idea how long each will take; a family with a morning at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital followed by a pharmacy and a late lunch; a couple doing Niagara wineries with no wish to argue about who is driving. In each case the same chauffeur and the same car stay with you from the first pickup to the last drop, and the day costs what the clock says — not what five separate trips would have added up to, and not what a taxi's meter would have run to while it waited.
What an hour buys
The hourly rate covers the chauffeur, the vehicle, fuel and waiting; tolls used on the 407 are inside it. There is a minimum number of hours per booking — typically shorter for sedans on a weekday, longer for SUVs and Sprinters and for Saturdays in wedding season — and the engine shows it before you accept. After the minimum, time is billed in increments, and the day ends when you tell the chauffeur it has. Distance is not metered within the GTA; an hourly booking that goes to Kingston and back is priced as a long-distance trip instead, and the engine tells you which is cheaper.
| Day shape | Better as | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Home → Pearson, one way | Point-to-point | Certain start and end; a fixed fare is cheapest |
| Three meetings across the GTA, times uncertain | Hourly | The car waits; no rebooking between stops |
| Dinner downtown, return "whenever" | Hourly (evening minimum) | The return pickup is a text, not a new booking |
| Niagara winery tour | Hourly (day rate) | Five stops, a lunch, no driving |
| Prom, wedding, party bus | Hourly by design | Occasion vehicles are always reserved by the block |
| Vaughan → Muskoka, return in three days | Two point-to-point legs | Waiting three days is not a booking |

The days Vaughan books by the hour
The meeting day. Out of the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre at eight, a client in Mississauga at nine, a plant on Keele at eleven-thirty, lunch in Yorkville, a board meeting on Bay Street at three, home to Kleinburg at six. The chauffeur handles the parking that does not exist at three of those addresses and the 407 decisions between them; the passenger works in the back. Companies do this on a corporate account so the day is one line on the monthly invoice.
The showroom and site day. Real-estate agents touring buyers through Kleinburg estates and Woodbridge new-builds; developers walking sites along Highway 7; a family visiting three schools in a morning. The SUV carries the group and the folders; nobody loses time looking for the next address.
The medical day. An appointment where the patient should not drive afterwards, a relative flown in for a procedure downtown, a day of tests at Sunnybrook or the hospitals on University Avenue. The chauffeur waits, the car is warm, and the family is not managing a parking garage.
The wine tour. A day in Niagara-on-the-Lake or on the Beamsville Bench — five wineries, a lunch, the drive home — is the classic hourly booking and the page for it is the Niagara route. Closer to home, the Hockley Valley and the King City–Caledon countryside make an afternoon.
The concert and the game. A Sprinter for twelve to a show at Scotiabank Arena, waiting, and home to Maple — one price for the evening, no surge, no separate cars losing each other on the Gardiner.
Production days. Film, television and photography crews working Vaughan locations — and there are many; the McMichael grounds, the Kortright Centre and the estates of Kleinburg appear regularly on screen — book Sprinters and SUVs by the day, often for a week.
Which class by the hour
The Executive Sedan is the lowest hourly rate and right for one or two people. The Premium Sedan is the executive day. The Luxury SUV carries six and the folders, samples or skis. The Executive Sprinter carries fourteen and is the group answer for tours and shows. The stretch limousine and the party bus are hourly by nature and have their own pages.
Booking an hourly chauffeur
Choose "hourly" in the reservation engine, enter the start address, the start time, the number of hours you expect and the class. The engine shows the rate and the minimum; accept, and the confirmation follows. Add the stops you already know in the notes — the chauffeur plans the route the night before — and tell us the ones you do not know as the day unfolds. If the day runs long, it simply runs long; if it runs short, you pay the minimum or the time used, whichever is greater.
A meeting day, with the clock running
08:00 — pickup at a Kleinburg house; the Premium Sedan has been waiting since 07:50. 08:35 — the client's office in Mississauga's Airport Corporate Centre via the 427; the chauffeur parks in the visitor lot the passenger cannot use. 10:10 — back on the 427 and the 407 to a plant on Keele in Concord, toll inside the rate. 12:00 — lunch in Yorkville; the chauffeur waits on Cumberland. 14:15 — Bay Street; the chauffeur holds at a lane the building allows. 16:40 — the passenger texts "done"; 17:25 — home to Kleinburg via the 400 and Major Mackenzie. Nine and a half hours, one price, no parking, no rebooking, and about two hours of work done in the back seat that would otherwise have been done at the wheel. Booked on a corporate account, it is one line on the invoice with the cost-centre code attached.
Wine tours by the hour
The Niagara day is the classic: leave Woodbridge at nine, the QEW to the Beamsville Bench by ten-thirty, three wineries before lunch in Jordan or Niagara-on-the-Lake, two after, the Falls at dusk if the group wants it, home by eight. Ten to eleven hours in a Luxury SUV for six or a Sprinter for twelve, with a chauffeur who knows which estates take walk-ins and which need a booking, and who is stone-cold sober on the way home. Closer to Vaughan, a Hockley Valley and Caledon afternoon — a couple of estate wineries, a cidery, dinner at a country inn — is five or six hours. The Niagara route page has the full itinerary logic and the one-way transfer option for those staying over.
Hourly versus point-to-point: a worked example
Two couples from Maple want dinner in Yorkville and a show at Roy Thomson Hall, home by midnight. As three point-to-point legs — house to restaurant, restaurant to hall, hall to house — the engine prices three fixed fares, and the middle one is short and inefficient. As a six-hour SUV booking the price is the hourly rate times six, the car waits outside the restaurant and the hall, and the return pickup is a text rather than a booking with a fixed time nobody wants to commit to at seven o'clock. For an evening with more than one stop, the hourly booking is almost always both cheaper and better. For a single trip with a certain start and end, point-to-point wins. The engine shows both.
Multi-day and weekly bookings
Productions, visiting executives, families with a relative in hospital for a week, delegations in town for a conference at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre: book by the day. The day rate is lower than the hourly rate multiplied out, the same chauffeur stays with the party for continuity, and the vehicle can be an SUV one day and a Sprinter the next if the group changes. Contact us with the dates and the shape of the days; you get a fixed figure for the block.
What is included in the hour, and what is not
Included: the chauffeur, the vehicle, fuel, waiting, tolls used, bottled water, chargers, luggage handling, and any reasonable number of stops within the GTA. Not included: parking fees at venues that charge (rare — the chauffeur usually finds a lane), gratuity, and the extra distance if the day leaves the GTA. Time is counted from the scheduled start, or from the chauffeur's arrival if you asked for a specific time and are ready then, to the moment you say the day is over at the last drop. If you finish early you pay the minimum or the time used, whichever is greater. If the day runs long, it runs long — no one is asked to leave the wedding early.
The hourly booking for families
Not every hourly day is a director's. A family with a relative in Cortellucci for a week books a chauffeur by the day to shuttle between the house, the ward, the pharmacy and the hotel where the out-of-town cousins are staying. Parents of a bride book a Sprinter by the hour for the day before the wedding — the hall, the florist, the church for the rehearsal, dinner in Woodbridge. Grandparents visiting from Italy for a month book a chauffeur for a day of Wonderland with the grandchildren, or Niagara, or the shops at Vaughan Mills, because the family cars are at work. Each is the same product: a chauffeur and a vehicle for the hours you need, the stops decided as the day goes.
Tolls, parking and the small print
The 407 is used when it saves time and is inside the hourly rate. Venue parking is rare — the chauffeur waits in a lane or nearby — and where a venue charges for the only available space, it is passed through at cost and noted in the confirmation. Gratuity is at your discretion. Waiting is simply time on the clock; there is no separate waiting charge on an hourly booking. Distance within the GTA is not metered; a day that leaves the GTA — a Niagara wine tour is the common one — is priced as a day rate that accounts for the distance, and the engine shows it before you accept.
Hourly for productions and photography
Vaughan is a working film and television location — the Kleinburg estates, the McMichael grounds, the Kortright Centre, the Woodbridge village streets and the industrial blocks of Concord all appear on screen — and production companies book Sprinters and SUVs by the day for cast, crew and equipment moves between the base camp, the set and the hotels. The day rate, the same chauffeur across the shoot, early calls and late wraps are the norm; the contact page builds the schedule.

What the chauffeur brings to the hour
Local knowledge is most of it. A Vaughan chauffeur knows that Major Mackenzie between Highway 27 and Weston is slow at school times, that Highway 7 through Concord is faster than the 407 for a short hop, that the VMC towers load in the garage rather than at the kerb, and where a Sprinter can wait outside a downtown venue without a ticket. The rest is the small things: bottled water, a charger, the temperature you asked for, and no conversation unless you want one.
Hourly chauffeur: questions answered
What is the minimum for an hourly booking?
It depends on the vehicle class and the day — shorter for sedans on weekdays, longer for SUVs and Sprinters and for Saturdays in wedding season. The engine shows the minimum before you accept.
Is distance charged on an hourly booking?
Not within the GTA — the hour covers the driving. A booking that goes well beyond (Kingston, London, Ottawa) is priced as a long-distance trip instead, and the engine tells you which is cheaper.
Can I change the stops during the day?
Yes. That is the point of an hourly booking. Tell the chauffeur; there is no rebooking and no change fee.
Does the chauffeur wait between stops?
Yes, with the vehicle — at a meeting, a hospital, a restaurant or a winery — for as long as the booking runs.
Can I book an hourly chauffeur for several days or a week?
Yes. Multi-day and weekly bookings are common for productions, visiting executives and families; contact us for the day rate, which is lower than the hourly rate multiplied out.
