Concord: Highway 7 and Keele, head offices and the 400/407 junction
Concord is the community along Highway 7 from Highway 400 east to Dufferin, north to Rutherford and south to the 407 — Vaughan's business and industrial heart, with head offices and plants along Keele, Jane and Highway 7, the banquet halls on Jane Street, the hotel cluster near the 400, and the eastern edge of the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre. Pearson is 24 to 27 minutes via the 407 west to the 427; downtown is 35 via the 400. Bookings from Concord are corporate airport and downtown runs, wedding and event transportation to the Jane Street halls, hotel transfers and group shuttles.
Concord is where Vaughan works. The Highway 7 corridor between the 400 and Dufferin is lined with head offices — construction, food, logistics, manufacturing — and the blocks north and south of it along Keele, Jane and Creditstone are industrial parks that ship across the continent. It is also where Vaughan celebrates: Paradise Banquet Hall and Bellvue Manor on Jane, Riviera Parque on Highway 7, the Terrace on Creditstone and the Venetian on Romina Drive host a large share of the city's weddings, galas and corporate dinners. The community has few of the crescents and courts of Maple or Woodbridge and more of the loading docks, hotel drives and hall entrances that a chauffeur has to know precisely.
The airport run from Concord
From Highway 7 and Keele the chauffeur takes Keele or Jane south to the 407, the 407 west to the 427 south and the 409 — 24 to 27 minutes off-peak, the toll inside the fare — or, late at night when it is free and empty, the 400 south to the 401 west. From the eastern edge near Dufferin add three minutes; from the hotels near the 400 subtract three. The 407 entrance at Jane is the one a Concord chauffeur uses most in the morning because the 400 south of the 407 is stopped at the 401 interchange until nine-thirty. For Billy Bishop, the 400 to the Gardiner in 40 minutes.

Corporate Concord: the account community
More corporate accounts are based in Concord than in any other Vaughan community. The shape is consistent: Executive Sedans to Terminal 1 for the sales and engineering teams, a Premium Sedan for the customer landing at Pearson and going to the plant on Keele, an hourly day for a director between the Highway 7 office, a site in Mississauga and a lawyer downtown, and a Sprinter for the delegation from the hotel to the office to dinner at a Woodbridge restaurant. Invoicing is monthly by cost centre; fares for the routes the company uses most are fixed at set-up. The chauffeurs know which head offices have a visitor lot, which plants have a gatehouse, and where a Sprinter can wait on Creditstone without blocking a dock.
The banquet halls and the events
Paradise on Jane Street, Bellvue Manor a little north of it, Riviera Parque on Highway 7, The Venetian on Romina Drive and the Terrace on Creditstone are between them the busiest wedding and event venues in York Region, and Concord's chauffeurs drive to them every weekend. For a wedding the stretch arrives at the grand-entrance door, the Sprinter drops the party at the lot, and the party bus shuttles guests from the hotels on Highway 7 and Jane, five minutes away. For a corporate gala or an awards dinner the account books sedans from downtown hotels and the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and a coordinator on our side runs the arrivals. The banquet halls guide has each venue's layout.
The hotels
The hotel cluster around Highway 7, Jane and the 400 — Element, SpringHill Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Novotel, Courtyard, Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, Residence Inn among them — is where Vaughan's visitors stay: wedding guests, business travellers to the Concord and Woodbridge offices, Wonderland families and conference delegates at the VMC. Hotel-to-airport transfers at 4:30 a.m. for a sun charter, hotel-to-hall shuttles on a Saturday and hotel-to-office runs on a Monday are booked from the hotel door, and the chauffeur meets in the lobby or at the porte-cochère. The travel desk books the rooms.
Pickup logistics
Head offices: the visitor drive or the lobby, named in the notes. Plants: the gatehouse, with the visitor's name on the list. Hotels: the porte-cochère. Halls: the grand-entrance door for the stretch, the lot for anything larger. The few residential streets — south of Highway 7 near Dufferin, the townhouse complexes off Keele — are straightforward. Highway 7 itself, with its Viva rapidway in the median, is not a place to stop; the chauffeur always uses a drive or a side street.
Landmarks and the guides
The VMC with its subway and the Highway 407 terminal is Concord's western neighbour; Vaughan Mills and Canada's Wonderland are ten minutes north up Jane; the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital the same. The 400/407 interchange at Concord's south-west corner is the reason the community is where it is.
Families and proms
Concord's residential pockets and the surrounding communities send their students to the Jane Street halls for proms in June — the shortest prom drive in the city — and book the March-break SUV to Terminal 3 and the grandparents' arrival like everywhere else in Vaughan.
Routes from Concord
Pearson in 24–27; Billy Bishop in 40; downtown in 35; Niagara Falls in 100 via the 407 and the QEW; Blue Mountain in 95 up the 400; Muskoka in 110 — Concord is at the foot of the 400 north, so the cottage run is quick; Buffalo Airport in a little over two hours plus the border; Hamilton Airport in 70.
Booking from Concord
Company name, building and drive in the engine notes; fare fixed. For an account, the contact page; for a hall event, the same, with the running order.
The streets and the blocks, for anyone booking a pickup
Highway 7 is Concord's spine — six lanes plus the Viva rapidway in the median, the head offices and hotels along it, no kerbside stopping — and the chauffeur uses the drives, never the road. Keele Street runs north–south through the western blocks with the plants and the route north to Maple and south to the 407. Jane Street is the western boundary with the banquet halls and the VMC beyond. Dufferin is the eastern edge toward Thornhill. Creditstone Road, Romina Drive, Bowes Road, Edgeley Boulevard and the industrial grid between Highway 7 and the 407 are where the loading docks, the gatehouses and the Terrace and the Venetian are. Rutherford is the northern edge. The 400 has its interchange at Highway 7 at the community's south-west corner, and the 407's interchanges at Jane and Keele are the Pearson and Hamilton routes; the 400 north is the Blue Mountain and Muskoka road. Langstaff Road crosses the middle. A chauffeur collecting at a Concord address needs the building, the drive or the gate, and the visitor's name if there is a gatehouse — and the notes field is where those go.
A Concord week, from the dispatcher's screen
Monday: four Terminal 1 departures before six from the Highway 7 head offices on account, a Premium Sedan for a European customer from Pearson to a Keele Street plant with meet-and-greet, and an hourly day for a director between the office, a site in Mississauga and a lawyer on Bay Street. Tuesday: a supplier from the airport to a gatehouse on Creditstone, and a hotel-to-airport run at 4:30 a.m. from the Element for a family on a sun charter. Wednesday: a delegation of ten from Pearson to a Highway 7 office in a Sprinter, dinner in Woodbridge, the hotels. Thursday: a corporate gala at the Terrace — sedans from downtown hotels, a coordinator on our side. Friday: the hotel-to-hall shuttle for a Saturday wedding's rehearsal dinner, and a cottage run up the 400. Saturday: two weddings at Paradise and the Venetian — stretches at the doors, Sprinters at the lots, party buses on the hotel loop — and a prom at Bellvue Manor. Sunday: the weekend's guests to the airport, and the delegation home. Every pickup from a car positioned along Highway 7.
Concord's calendar
The corporate year sets Concord's rhythm: the January and September travel peaks, the summer lull, the November rush and the December galas at the halls. Wedding season from May to October fills Jane Street every Saturday; prom season in June fills it on weeknights. The hotel cluster's occupancy follows Wonderland's season, the conference calendar at the VMC and the wedding weekends. The 400/407 interchange is stopped every weekday morning and evening, which is why a Concord chauffeur's first question is always which hour. And the industrial blocks' shift changes at six and three put trucks on Keele and Creditstone that a chauffeur plans around for a gatehouse pickup.
Concord's restaurants and the evening bookings
The Highway 7 corridor's restaurants — the steakhouses and the Italian rooms near Keele and Jane, the hotel dining rooms, the plazas' cafés — host the business dinners that follow a plant tour, and a black car from the office or the hotel to the restaurant and back is the evening's booking. For a visiting delegation, the Sprinter that brought them from Pearson takes them to dinner in Woodbridge and back to the Element by ten. The Woodbridge page has the village's restaurants fifteen minutes west; the downtown route has the city's.
Concord's hotels and the sun charters
The Highway 7 hotels' guests book the 4:30 a.m. run to Terminal 3 or Hamilton for the winter charters more than any other trip, and the chauffeur meets in the lobby with the luggage cart already at the door; a family of six with a week's bags is a Luxury SUV, and the return a week later at midnight is the same SUV at the arrivals kerb. For a group of delegates leaving on one flight, a Sprinter from the porte-cochère with a manifest. The travel desk books the rooms and the packages; the Pearson and Hamilton route pages have the timings from Highway 7 and Jane.
Concord's plants, and the gatehouse pickup
Many Concord addresses are plants and distribution centres with a gatehouse, a visitor list and a shift-change traffic pattern; a supplier's or auditor's pickup at one needs the visitor's name on the list and the gatehouse named in the notes, and the chauffeur waits inside or outside as the plant prefers. The 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. shift changes put trucks on Keele and Creditstone, and the chauffeur's timing allows for them.
What Concord actually books
The corporate airport run, several times a day. The customer from Pearson to the plant. The hall wedding and the gala. The hotel shuttle. The cottage weekend up the 400. Cars are positioned along Highway 7, which is why a 6 a.m. Keele Street pickup is on time.
Concord: questions answered
How long is Concord to Pearson?
Twenty-four to twenty-seven minutes off-peak via the 407 west to the 427 and the 409, toll inside the fare; the 400 to the 401 late at night when it is free and empty.
Do you serve the Jane Street banquet halls?
Yes — Paradise, Bellvue Manor, Riviera Parque, The Venetian, the Terrace and the rest, every weekend. The stretch goes to the grand-entrance door; larger vehicles drop at the lot.
Can you set up an account for a company on Highway 7?
Yes, within a business day — fixed fares for the routes you use most, monthly invoicing by cost centre, booker logins. See the corporate page.
Where do you meet at the hotels?
In the lobby or at the porte-cochère, as you prefer; tell us in the notes.
Can you meet a supplier at a plant's gatehouse?
Yes — put the visitor's name and the gatehouse in the notes; the chauffeur is on the list and waits inside or outside as the plant prefers.
Do the Highway 7 hotels have a pickup lane?
Each has a porte-cochère; the chauffeur meets there or in the lobby as you prefer, and the hotel-to-airport run at 4:30 a.m. is one of Concord's most common bookings.
Is this a Concord taxi?
No - a Concord taxi is hailed or called on demand. A booked car from Concord is confirmed in advance with a fixed fare, which is why companies on Highway 7 put their airport runs on an account instead.
